RG+142tm--The Ultimate CCA (Lightweight!) Coaxial Cable
RG142 is 50 ohm coaxial cable you can use for all transmit-and-receive purposes in your airplane up to 6 GHz or even 12 GHz (Whoa!). It is a sort of Super-RG58. RG142 costs a lot more but performs far better in every way. Doesn’t everyone sell this plain old stuff? Right!—they do have the plain old stuff—but certainly not this stuff!
Semflex makes an advanced RG142 called RG+142tm cable that is so good, that we decided to offer it to our many weight- and performance-savvy customers.
Features:
22% lower insertion loss:
38 dB vs 48 dB @ 100’ @ 6 GHz
50% Improvement in VSWR
Weighs 35-40% of standard RG142
Uses standard BNC hardware
Reduced Phase and Attenuation drift
Double-Shielded
Much greater flexibility
Much longer lifetime
(Coax cables don't last forever!)
Greater transmit power
125 °C vs 80 °C. This matters because your
transmit cables get HOT

So how much weight could you save? Well, if your airplane has 50 feet of RG142, you can easily save half-a-pound. (Two cheeseburgers!) Remember that most coaxial cables have a steel wire center conductor so that they can be strung from poles or antennas. This cable has a Copper Clad Aluminum core for great transmission and low weight. Aircraft-Spruce sells regular old RG142 cable for over USD$2.00/ft, and they charge shipping. We will sell you better, lighter RG+142tm cable for only a bit more and will ship it free to the Can-US-Mex. Foreign orders are shipped at cost.
Far better performance, far lower weight, very decent price $2.89/foot with a 20’ minimum. What's not to like? Discounts are available (over 100 ft), please inquire. Payment by Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, cash or cheque.
It’s just like we’re in the future! Isn’t it?
